Spring is here (sort of)

It’s March and spring is tentatively peeking its head out. Wild daffodils are already reaching for the sun, even though winter is still stubbornly hanging on. The other trees know better than to start blooming so early as we still have weeks of cold weather ahead of us. Unfortunately, I am horrible at planning sometimes so while my garden bed is ready for plants, I haven’t gotten any plants started, much less in the ground. You see, I basically have a black thumb and I am so nervous to plant the seeds that I have. Maybe I should only do herbs? Maybe I should only do two or three of the plants we eat the most of? Maybe I should do a combination, two or three kinds of vegetables with herbs in between? I am ridiculously indecisive (which I can blame on my ADHD) and I just don’t know which way to go. Last year the only harvest we got was a few cabbages, and those were only the parts I was able to salvage from the caterpillars. I’m still learning companion planting, but I still have so much to learn. But I’m not going to give up. I will figure this out because I really want a large, thriving garden for my family. I just have to get what I see in my head, designed and made real.
